Data Collection & Analysis
Support for planning data collection and turning survey or qualitative material into clear analysis.
Who this is for
Teams that need to plan how information will be collected and then turn survey or qualitative material into analysis a decision-maker can read. The starting point is the question, not a preference for a particular tool.
What this can include
- Survey and questionnaire planning
- Data organization and cleaning
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis and reporting
How an assignment starts
We agree what must be learned, who holds that information, and how it will be recorded. The scope covers the instrument or guide, the cleaning and organization of the material, and the analysis. Collection itself is included only when the scope says so.
Questions
Can you work with data we already have?
Yes. Organizing and analyzing existing survey files, spreadsheets, or interview notes is often the right first step. New collection is added only when the existing material cannot answer the question.
Do you handle both numbers and interviews?
Yes. Quantitative and qualitative analysis can sit in one assignment when both kinds of material are needed. Each kind is reported with its limits.
What does the analysis leave out?
Findings stay tied to the question that was agreed. The note should say what the material cannot support, including cases where a small set of interviews is not a whole population.
