Service
Monitoring & Evaluation
Support for frameworks, indicators, and reports that help organizations track progress and learn from it.
Who this is for
Organizations that need a framework, a small set of indicators, and a report that helps them track progress and learn from it. This is a fit when a programme or project already has an objective and needs a way to check it.
What this can include
- Monitoring frameworks and indicators
- Progress tracking and evaluation planning
- Findings and recommendations reports
How an assignment starts
We start from the objective the organization can recognize, not from a template. The scope names which questions are for routine monitoring and which wait for an evaluation, who will collect the information, and who will read it.
Questions
What is included in a monitoring and evaluation assignment?
A monitoring framework and indicators, support for progress tracking and evaluation planning, and a findings or recommendations report when that report is in the scope.
Will you invent indicators for us?
Indicators are chosen with the people who must collect them. A measure that nobody can collect on the agreed schedule is replaced. The framework is meant to be used after the assignment ends.
Is this an evaluation of past results?
Only when that is the question in the scope. Many assignments stop at the framework and the routine for reviewing it. An evaluation of what a programme has achieved is a separate, explicit piece of work.
